Sandra Jovchelovitch MSc, FBPsS

Sandra Jovchelovitch is Professor of Social Psychology at the LSE where she directs the Master Programme in Social and Cultural Psychology. She was educated in Brazil and at the London School of Economics, where she received her PhD in 1995. Her research interests focus on the socio-cultural psychology of development, community and public spheres. Before coming to England she worked as a clinical and social psychologist involved in the process of health reform and de-institutionalisation of the mentally ill. She has received distinguished invitations to act as visiting professor at the Maison de Sciences de l’Homme in France, the University of Stockholm in Sweden, the University of Padova in Italy, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Hungary, the ISCTE in Lisbon, amongst others.
