Sandra Hellberg MSc

Sandra Hellberg is a PhD Student at Linköping University, Sweden. She completed her Master's in Medical Biosciences. She is working on the chronic inflammatory disease multiple sclerosis and pregnancy which is a new field of research in Sweden. Multiple sclerosis improves during pregnancy to an extent surpassing those obtained by existing medical treatment and she is investigating the immunological mechanisms behind this improvement. Their hope is that this knowledge will lead to a better understanding of the disease and also to new and improved treatment for the disease. Her research interests include Cell Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Neuro Immunology, Chronic Inflammatory Diseases, Multiple Sclerosis.
