Sandra Pekic MD, Ph.D. is a Professor of Internal Medicine at Belgrade University School of Medicine and is working at the Dept of Neuroendocrinology, Endocrinology Clinic, University Clinical Center, Belgrade for 27 years. Dr. Pekic has received a medical degree from Belgrade University School of Medicine. She is a certified specialist in Internal medicine and a subspecialist in Endocrinology. Professor Pekic is an active member of the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) and she lectured as a symposia speaker for the European Congress of Endocrinology. She is also a member of the ENEA and an active member of the Endocrine Section of the Serbian Medical Association. Professor Pekic has published more than 70 peer-reviewed original papers and chapters in books. She is an important investigator for the research grant funded by the Ministry of Science Serbia since 1995. Her research includes investigations in the field of pituitary adenomas and hypopituitarism. She is also involved as a principal investigator in Clinical Research Studies on new molecules for diagnosing GH deficiency and new treatments for Acromegaly and Cushing´s disease.
