Samuel J. King is an accomplished executive, consultant and faculty with unique combinations of healthcare finance, IT, project management, analytics, business intelligence, and continuous quality improvement. He has extensive background and broad experience in health plans, medical groups, hospitals, integrated delivery systems and consulting. He is a Managing Principal, King’s Consulting, and an Industry Fellow at the Center for Digital Transformation, The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine. He is a faculty at The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine, and the UCLA Jonathan and Karin Fielding School of Public Health. Mr. King has served in various management or consulting roles (Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Director, Manager, and consultant, etc.) for many organizations, including Hawaii State Department of Health, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Southern California Permanente Medical Group, SCAN Health Plan, Physician Weblink, Deloitte & Touché, and Cogent Healthcare, etc. He has been a frequent speaker and moderator at various national and regional professional conferences.
