Samuel Beard Holzman MD

Sam grew up in Albany, NY. He obtained his degree in marine biology from Brown University before turning his attention toward medicine. After two years in American Samoa running a community health worker intervention, he attended Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He then completed residency at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Following his clinical year, Sam will pursue a PhD in Clinical Investigation at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. His research will focus on latent tubercular infection and will be working with Susan Dorman atthe Center for TB Research.
