Samir Patel MD, MPH, CPL, FACP

Dr. Samir V. Patel is an internist working at Sparks Health System, affiliated with the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences West, and clinical adjunct faculty at Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his MD from B. J. Medical College, Gujarat University in India, and completed his Internal Medicine training at Western Reserve Health Education, Northeast Ohio Medical University in Ohio, USA. Dr. Samir V. Patel is board-certified in Internal Medicine. He earned a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from Tulane University, USA to further expand his clinical research knowledge. His research interests mainly include Cardiovascular diseases, Atrial Fibrillation, and Flutter, also on Endovascular procedures, including Peripheral and Coronary Atherectomy, High-risk PCI, Hemodynamic support, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, Mitra-clip, Pulmonary valve implantation. He has more than 70 peer-reviewed publications/abstracts in medical journals on cardiovascular diseases. He is currently involved in the Cardiovascular Research Outcome group for publications from a large national database registry and meta-analysis.
