Dr. Sami Alhasan Yousif is an attending Emergency physician at King Abdulaziz Medical City-Riyadh, and a Joint faculty at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, College of Applied Medical Sciences, Emergency Medical Services, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Yousif is board-certified in Emergency Medicine. He earned his medical degree (2004) at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He completed his residency training at King Khalid National Guard Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In 2012 he was awarded a scholarship from the Saudi National Guard Health Affairs to Brown University in the United States, where he completed fellowship training in Disaster Medicine and Emergency Preparedness. While at Brown University, his research work focused on Airway Management in Disasters and Disaster simulation. He is especially interested in mass gathering health and has served on many deployments to the annual pilgrimage of Hajj in Makkah. He also has given many lectures and co-designed courses on disaster related topics.
