Sameer Zimmo MD

Sameer Zimmo is a Professor of Dermatology at King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. Currently he is the chairman of Dermatology Department. He works as consultant dermatologist for inpatients and outpatients in addition to his academic research, teaching and training of medical students. He has published more than 26 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is founder and board member of the Saudi Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and founder of Jeddah scientific Dermatology club since 1988, responsible for monthly lectures to the dermatologist. He also works as a part time consultant dermatologist at JC clinics in Jeddah, which is a private clinic.

He received his medical degree from King Abdulaziz University, and did his training in dermatology at McGill University hospitals in Montreal, Canada. Also did his fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology at Montreal children hospital. He is a member of the Saudi Psoriasis Guideline group and participated in research and papers on the management of psoriasis.
