Sameena Sharif PhD

Sameena Sharif joined Astex Pharmaceuticals Inc as Executive Director, Project Management, in March 2012. Prior to joining Astex Dr. Sharif had over 20 years of experience in project and alliance management in both the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors, working in roles of increasing responsibility at Aradigm, Abgenix, PDL, Exelixis and, most recently, Cellerant Therapeutics, where she was Senior Director working closely with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) and responsible for the development of the company’s novel cell-based therapies for the treatment of acute radiation syndrome.
