Having completed his ophthalmology training at the esteemed Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, he specialized in the management of complex cases of cataract surgery and refractive surgery at Raghudeep Eye Hospital, Ahmedabad, and Narayana Nethralaya, Bengaluru. His basic areas of interest are the science of visual optics and how the eye functions. He has several peer-reviewed publications to his credit. He has been invited to deliver lectures and conduct instruction courses at ophthalmology meetings both nationally and internationally.
