Samar Muwakkit Balaa MD

Dr. Samar Muwakkit Balaa, is a medical doctor at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, Pediatric Training AUB. She trained in Pediatric Hematology Oncology at State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse.

Dr. Muwakkit has been practicing Pediatric Hematology and Oncology since 1993. She visited St. Jude Children Research Cancer Center several times in 1995, 1998 and 2001. In 2002, Dr. Muwakkit joined the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon since its inception. She is currently an associate Professor at the American University of Beirut, Department of Pediatrics and at the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL). Her special interest is in Pediatric Leukemia and lymphoma.
