Dr. Samantha Somwaru, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician at the Cleveland Clinic specializing in preventive care, wellness, and comprehensive primary care for children, adolescents, and adults. Known for her compassionate and attentive approach, Dr. Somwaru is dedicated to helping patients achieve long-term health through personalized, evidence-based care and strong physician-patient relationships.
Dr. Somwaru earned her medical degree from Windsor University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Somwaru serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM), reflecting her commitment to medical education and the development of future physicians. Practicing at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital’s Rosner Family Health & Wellness Center in Vero Beach, Florida, Dr. Somwaru provides comprehensive care for a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, anxiety disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and preventive health management.
