Sam Brasch joined New Leaf in 2015 as a Venture Partner and focuses on information convergence investments. Sam was previously a Managing Director at Kaiser Permanente Ventures where he focused on investments in healthcare IT, healthcare services and medical technology companies. Sam led KP's investments and was active at the Board with Health Catalyst, Nordic Consulting, iRhythm Inc, DSI, Inc, Trivascular (TRIV), and Vapotherm. He also facilitated KP's investments in IngeniousMed and RockHealth Fund II. Prior to joining Kaiser in 2011, Sam was an Executive-in-Residence and Vice President with Frazier Healthcare. At Frazier, Sam focused on venture and growth equity stage investments and was involved in Frazier's investments in BARRx (COV), Calibra Medical (J&J), Pivot Medical (SYK), Endocare (HRTN), and Glaukos among others. Earlier in his career, Sam was in management roles at Medtronic, Inc. as well as with venture-backed start-ups in the medical device and HCIT fields.

He began his career as a management consultant with APM/CSC Healthcare, working primarily with hospital, physician group, and health care payor clients. Sam holds a B.A. in Public Policy from Stanford University and an MBA in Health Care Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
