Salvatore Paiella MD, PhD

Dr. Salvatore Paiella is a Consultant in General Surgery since 2016 and a Research Associate since 2017 at the University of Verona, Italy. He is doing his Ph.D. in Inflammation, Immunity, and Cancer at the University of Verona. Pancreatic tumors and pancreatic surgery are his fields of interest, with particular attention to ablative techniques in the treatment of unresectable pancreatic tumors. He is the national secretary of the registry of individuals at risk of developing pancreatic cancer and he is the local responsible for this registry. He has authored or co-authored more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has attended tens of national and international congresses, both as an attendant and a relator/invited lecturer. He has received national and international awards and he is the winner or co-winner of research grants from national or international Institutions. On March 30th, 2018 he obtained the National Scientific Qualification to function as an Associate Professor of General Surgery.
