Sangeeta Aggarwal MD

Sangeeta Aggarwal, MD, is the Assistant Chief of Hematology and Oncology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She is a board-certified Hematologist and Oncologist and a member of ASCO, ASH, AMA, and AAPI. She brings more than 25 years of experience as a medical doctor, especially with respect to the work-flow in hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes.

After finishing her fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York, Dr. Aggarwal became an attending physician in the division of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. During 2002-2005, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Hospital & Medical Center in New York. During these five years, she was actively involved in teaching fellows and in bone marrow transplants for hematological malignancies. Since October 2005, she has been Assistant Chief in the division of Hematology and Oncology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose.

Since 2005, she has been specifically interested in breast cancer and has been involved in clinical studies as well as mentoring residents. She has published several research articles regarding breast cancer and is serving as a clinical investigator for a few on-going trials regarding Lymphoma and breast cancer.

Dr. Aggarwal is also the Chief Medical Information Officer of Scry Analytics (www.scryanalytics.com). Scry Analytics uses techniques from statistical analysis, Bayesian analysis, machine learning, natural language processing and artificial intelligence to provide end-to-end solutions and services as well as decision support systems for problems arising in healthcare, financial services, technology and telecom industries.
