Safwaan Adam MBChB, MRCP, PhD

Dr. Adam graduated from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and then undertook postgraduate training in South Africa and New Zealand before starting specialty training in general medicine and endocrinology in the North West of England. During this time he undertook a Ph.D. in medicine at the University of Manchester studying the metabolic effects of obesity and associated cardiovascular disease risk. He has also continually maintained a clinical research portfolio in endocrinology. His research has resulted in a number of publications and prizes. He has a particular interest in the use of large clinical outcome ‘real-world’ datasets to better inform clinical practice.
