Dr Sadiq Bhayani is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia. I completed my training in anaesthesia and received the Fellowship in Anaesthesia from Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2009. Following this I completed my advance pain fellowship with specialist qualification in pain management from Faculty of Pain Medicine, Royal College of Anaesthetists, and passed my Fellowship of Faculty of Pain Medicine examination (FFPMRCA).
To enhance my experience in Interventional pain medicine I completed a year fellowship program from the University Health Network, University of Toronto, Canada. I am immediate past chairman (UK Chapter) and director of media and public relations and of World Academy of Pain Medicine Ultrasonography (WAPMU). I am a member of World institute of Pain (WIP), Spine Intervention Society (SIS), European Society of Regional Anaesthesia (ESRA).
I am the first doctor in the United Kingdom to qualify, Certified interventional pain Sonology examination (CIPS) conducted by world institute of pain. I am also a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP). In addition to the number of qualifications I had also authored journal articles, book chapters and abstracts numerous national, international lecturers. I also serve as an examiner for world institute of pain (WIP) and faculty for Pain School International (PSI). I work both in NHS and private sector and specialise in treatment of painful musculoskeletal conditions for example back pain, neck pain, spinal stenosis, sciatica, facet joint, sacro-iliac joint pains, coccydynia, myofascial pain, widespread pain, fibromyalgia syndrome, chronic abdominal pain, pelvic pain, chronic pain after surgery.
My clinical experience includes assessing 1100 plus patients in the clinic each year and I perform 500 plus injections each year.I am qualified in both ultrasound guided pain injections and X –ray guided interventional pain procedures. In addition to detailed medical assessment I offer treatments like medications, nerve block injection, cooled and conventional radiofrequency treatment (RF Treatment), Botox injections for migraine, Platelet Rich Plasma injections (PRP)
