Dr Sachin A Borkar joined M.Ch. Neurosurgery residency( 6 years) course at AIIMS, New Delhi in 2006. He has an excellent academic and surgical record and was adjudged the “ Best Neurosurgery Resident” for the year 2011. After finishing his residency, he joined as a faculty at AIIMS, New delhi.

He has also adjudged Diplomate of National Board examination in Neurosurgery by the National Board of Examination. He has several publications to his credit in various national and international journals and presented his work at various meetings in India and abroad. He is well versed in all aspects of Neurosurgery and has special interest in Spine Surgery including Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery(MISS).He has been awarded the H. Alan Crockard International Spine fellowship for the year 2015 by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons/ Congress of Neurological Surgeons’ Spine Section. He has done his advanced fellowships in Complex Spine Surgery from UCSF Spine Center, San Francisco, CA,USA and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery fellowship from Guys & St. Thomas NHS Hospital , London, UK. He has also been trained in deformity surgery by AO Spine. He has keen research interest and has been working on many national and international projects.
