Sacha Mussot

Sacha Mussot is currently staff surgeon within the division of thoracic, vascular surgery and heart-lung transplantation at the Marie Lannelongue Hospital University in Paris, a position he has held since 2003. His main fields of interest are within the surgery of lung tumours with a focus in extended surgery of locally advanced thoracic tumours, complex tracheal surgery, pulmonary thromboendarterectomy and the surgery of pulmonary hypertension including heart-lung and pulmonary transplantations. He leads a clinical trial in lung reconditioning for transplantation—the next logical step after experimental work on the same subject. Last but not least he created the Alumni of Marie Lannelongue, a surgical club encompassing surgeons who have, like himself, worked with his mentor, Prof Philippe G Dartevelle.
