Professor Kliesch is a urologist and andrologist and has been the Head of the Department of Clinical Andrology at the Cera since 2008. She is a basic and clinical researcher focused on testicular tumors, fertility protection in the oncological disease of boys and men, male infertility, sexual disorders, and male hypogonadism. Her investigative approach is collaborative and multidisciplinary, spanning the fields of andrology, urology, endocrinology, human genetics, psychology, molecular biology.

Her research projects are part of the "germ cell potential" research group as well as clinically oriented. She founded the network Androprotect at the Cera and is thus involved in the clinical part of the stem cell basic research group at the Cera. Development of testis cancer, individualized treatment of infertile males, and application of new drugs in andrology belong to her fields of interest. Professor Kliesch's work has been published in leading scientific journals. She is a board member of scientific organizations in urology and andrology.
