Sabine Jeck-thole MD

Sabine Jeck-Thole joined Global Pharmacovigilance at Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) as Head Risk Management, Therapeutic Area of Metabolism & Virology in April 2013 and took over the position as EU QPPV & Head Regional PV one year later. Prior to joining BI Sabine was working as Therapeutic Area Safety Lead at Novartis Pharma in Basel / Switzerland overseeing compounds in development as well as established drugs in post-transplantation immunosuppression, in autoimmune and infectious disorders. Sabine started her carrier in the pharmaceutical industry as a drug safety physician at Solvay Pharmaceuticals in Hannover/Germany and there held roles of increasing responsibilities in the cardio-metabolic and neuroscience areas. She has more than 15 years of research and clinical experience in anesthesia and intensive care and is a certified member of the German Board of Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. Sabine received her medical training at the University of Marburg / Germany and at Medical Schools in London. She graduated in 1985 at the Medical High School of Hannover / Germany.
