Sabaratnam Arulkumaran MD, PhD, DSc, FRCS, FRCOG

Prof Sir Sabaratnam Arulkumaran's research and clinical interests are in understanding and improving the quality of life for women and newborn babies. He has been in clinical practice for 37 years and in research and teaching for 25 years. He joined St George’s, University of London as a Professor and then became Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Previously, he held posts at a number of high-profile institutions including the National University of Singapore, the University of Nottingham, the Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and the International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
