Ryan D. Muchow MD

Ryan Muchow is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Shriners Hospitals for Children, Lexington, and Assistant Professor, Pediatric Orthopaedics at the University of Kentucky. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He enjoys seeing all children with pediatric orthopedic conditions and has a specific focus on hip preservation surgery and scoliosis. He is currently involved in research pertaining to trauma, scoliosis, and hip pathology.

Dr. Muchow graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he remained to earn my medical degree. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Wisconsin. He specialized in pediatric orthopedics by completing a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic and spine surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. Dr. Muchow is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery (AAOS), the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA), the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), and the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA).
