Ruth Mccaffrey DNP, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN

Ruth McCaffrey, DNP, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, received her bachelor of science and master of science degrees from Florida Atlantic University, Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, in 1989 and 1996, respectively, and her doctor of nursing practice (DNP) degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2000. She has been a practicing nurse practitioner since 1996 and a member of the Holistic Nurses Association since 2005. Dr. McCaffrey has served on the faculty of Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing Florida Atlantic University since 2001 and is presently director of the DNP program at Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. She also serves on the editorial board of numerous nursing journals and has presented papers nationally and internationally on holistic and complementary therapies, including mindfulness. In 2017, Dr. McCaffrey's article "Transformational Leadership: A Model for Advanced Practice Holistic Nurses," coauthored with Humberto Reinoso, appeared in the Journal of Holistic Nursing.
