Dr. Ruth Grunau is a professor in the Division of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics; and is an associate member of the Department of Psychology at UBC. She recently received the 2018 Jeffrey Lawson Award for Advocacy in Children’s Pain Relief. Her research interests include long-term effects of neonatal pain in vulnerable developmental windows; infant pain assessment; and pain in hospitalized infants.
