Dr. Chen is the Assistant Dean, Academic Resources and Department Education Coordinator for the School of Nursing (SON) at McMaster University. In these roles, she oversees all Part-Time Instructors and Clinical Faculty appointees to ensure all instructional needs of the school are addressed and that students have an optimal learning experience. She is currently the Faculty of Health Sciences representative on the Undergraduate Council. Dr. Chen serves on the Board of Directors for the Yale University School of Nursing Alumni Association and is a Delegate of the Association for Yale Alumni. She is an advocate for community service and engagement and has been the country coordinator for Canada for the Yale Day of Service since 2012.
Dr. Chen completed her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California at Berkeley, her Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University, and her PhD in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Research Methodology Program, at McMaster University
