Russell N. Olmsted MPH, CIC

Russ Olmsted, has over 26 years experience in the field of infection control/applied epidemiology. Russ serves as the Epidemiologist with Infection Prevention & Control Services, at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System headquartered in Ann Arbor, MI. He has had ongoing interest in cross transmission involving the environment of care and is a member of the Facility Guidelines Institute Steering Committee.

He is also a member of CDCs Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee. Russ has a bachelors degree in Biology from U of M, and a Master of Public Health from the U of M School of Public Health in Ann Arbor, MI. He is also board certification in infection prevention and control.
