Russell Gann

Russell Gann is currently working in support of the National Guard Health Affairs, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He recently left the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where he worked from 2003.

In 2011, Russel was recruited by the Ministry of Health, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to become the Project Manager for Public Health Informatics, infectious disease surveillance. During this time he was made Project Manager of the Healthcare Electronic Surveillance Network (HESN) – BigData Application - Panorama product from Canada; the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN); and to implement surveillance, informatics, audiovisual and database requirements for the National Health Laboratory (NHL). During this time he also consulted on the Africa Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET) and the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET) through DTRA, DOD and WHO. After having worked in the US and KSA, he worked with King Abdulaziz International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) at the Ministry of the National Guard (MNG), Saudi Arabia
