Dr. Rungchai Chaunchaiyakul, who specialized in Human Exercise Physiology, is the Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services at the College of Sports Science and Technology, Mahidol University in Thailand. He received Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from the University of Wollongong, Australia in 2000. He serves as Vice President of The Sports Science Society of Thailand since 2005 and is currently a peer reviewer of the Thai Journal of Sports Science. He is an academic consultant for The Sports Authority of Thailand since 2004. His research interest includes 1) effects of exercise under hypoxic conditions; 2) thermal and oxidative stress; 3) exercise and dehydration and 4) exercises for health promotion.
He received Research Awards from: a) National Research Council of Thailand in 2004 for the topic of Garlic and antioxidative effects; b) Sports Authority of Thailand in 2005, 2013, and 2014; c) Thai Health Foundation in 2011; d) American College of Sports Medicine in 2013-2015 for Exercise is Medicine, Thailand and e) Wacoal (Thailand) Public Company in 2014- 2019. He received Best Lecturer of the College of Sports Science and Technology in 2014 and Mahidol University Brand Ambassador Award in the same year.
