Ruby Anto PhD, FNASc, FAS

Dr. Ruby John Anto is currently Chief Scientist at the Centre of Excellence in Nutraceuticals, Government of Kerala, and an honorary scientist at IAV. She was a visiting scientist at M.D. Anderson Cancer Centre, and was part of the RGCB Cancer Research Program till her retirement. She has received the National Woman Bio-Scientist Award from DBT, Govt. of India, and the Keystone Symposia Global Health award. She is a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India, and Kerala Academy of Sciences. Her invention on uttroside-B, with ‘Orphan drug’ designation against HCC by the US FDA, received multinational patents and was transferred to the US company, QBiomed.
