Roya Attarhousseini OD, MBA

Roya Attar, O.D., is an assistant clinical professor and the director of professional relations at the University of Pikeville - Kentucky College of Optometry. Attar completed her undergraduate degrees from the University of Memphis in Tennessee dual majoring in biology and chemistry. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas. Attar has received a number of professional awards. She is an active member of a number of professional organizations and is involved in the Pikeville Rotary Club. Attar is board certified in optometry in the states of Kentucky and Texas. Prior to pursuing a career in optometry, Attar spent several years in the sales and marketing industry where she developed a unique and diverse set of skills that have served her well in her position at UPIKE. She has a passion for students and is personally dedicated to each student’s success and personal growth.
