Roy Brancatisano MBBS, FRACS

Dr Roy Brancatisano is a bariatric surgeon who trained in Sydney, Australia where he achieved his surgical qualifications and fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1993. He has performed well over 3500 weight loss surgery operations, including laparoscopic gastric banding, gastric sleeve resections and gastric bypass. His expertise in advanced laparoscopic techniques has enabled him to a improve the operation of gastric sleeve resection by completely over-sewing the staple line to reduce leaks and bleeding risks. In 2003, he founded the Institute of Weight Control and developed the 'Circle of Care' Program.

He continues to perform all laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal surgery including gallstone, hernia, anti- reflux procedures, as well as endoscopies. He is the Director of the Institute of Weight Control, and has appointments at private hospitals in north western Sydney including Castle Hill Hospital and Norwest Private Hospital.
