Ronda Farah MD, FAAD

Dr. Ronda Farah is a nationally and internationally recognized board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Minnesota, where she has played a key role in research, teaching, and advancing patient care for over a decade.

Dr. Farah earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, completed her internship at Hennepin County Medical Center, and finished her dermatology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She previously served as Director of Medical Dermatology at University of Minnesota Health Maple Grove Clinics and as Cosmetic Lead for University of Minnesota Health.

A passionate educator, Dr. Farah has been responsible for the training of Minnesota’s dermatology residents in cosmetic procedures for more than ten years. She continues her strong teaching role as an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota, while maintaining Alluma Dermatology’s commitment to education and research.

Her clinical and research interests include energy-based medicine, hair loss, and the intersection of dermatology with technology and social media. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, with many of her works focused on alopecia and innovations in dermatology (view Dr. Farah’s full list of publications here).

Dr. Farah’s contributions extend beyond the academic setting. She is a past board member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the Association of Academic Cosmetic Dermatology, and currently serves as a Social Media Ambassador for the American Academy of Dermatology. She has also been featured on Good Morning America and was recognized as a Top Doctor for Women by Minnesota Monthly (link). In 2024, she was selected nationally by her peers to receive the Association of Academic Cosmetic Dermatology Rising Star Award.
