Ronald F. Guse BSc

Ronald Guse received his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. After working in clinic pharmacy settings for five years, he started as an Assistant Registrar and Inspector in 1984 with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (then called the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association) and was appointed Registrar in 1999 until his recent retirement in April 2016.

The mandate of the College is public protection. While at the College, he developed effective provincial pharmacy inspection/audit procedures and community and hospital standards of practice, and, ushered in innovative provincial legislation for the expanded scope of pharmacy practice with a focus on quality patient care and patient safety. He has safeguarded the public health for over 30 years, through serving on many provincial, national and international standard setting committees.
