Ron Dagan PhD

Ron Dagan funded the Pediatric Infectious Disease Unit at the Soroka University Medical Center, Beer-Sheva Israel and was its director from 1987 to 2014. He now acts as a senior Infectious Disease consultant at the Unit. He is also Professor of Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
He was President of the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) (2004-6) and President of the World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (WSPID) (2006-9). He is currently Chair of the Board of the International Symposia on Pneumococcus and Pneumococcal Diseases (ISPPD) and President Elect of the International Society of Infectious Diseases for 2016.
