Dr. Coriat is a full professor in gastroenterology and digestive oncology. Dr. Coriat leads the Gastroenterology, endoscopy, and digestive oncology unit. This unit is dedicated to Pancreatic and biliary tract carcinoma. The unit focused on Pancreatic and biliary tract carcinoma diseases from screening to therapeutic. It included endoscopy, diagnosis, and management of benign and tumor lesions. Dr. Coriat leads the Haematology-Oncology Department including 23 units as Urology, Oncology, Digestive oncology, Palliative care, Endoscopy unit, Digestive surgery unit, Haematology, cellular therapy, and Hepatology units. The department is part of the APHP Hospitals in Paris and the Université Paris Cité.

Dr. Coriat performed his Ph.D. on modulation of the Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) in digestive oncology. His field of expertise is digestive endoscopy, digestive oncology, and neuroendocrine tumors. Dr. Coriat has authored over 300 publications on topics such as clinical investigations involving the pancreas, biliary tract carcinoma, and neuroendocrine tumors.

He is the editor of the Gastroenterology textbook (Traité de médecine), and past associate editor of the Journal for Clinical Medicine and World Journal of gastroenterology.
