Dr. Rodger Kessler has been appointed the Chair of Research and Evaluation for the ASU College of Health Solutions, Doctor of Behavioral Health program, with shared responsibilities in the Department of Bioinformatics and School for the Science of Health Care Delivery. This is a substantial increase in time and responsibility from his prior position as part-time Faculty Associate for the DBH program. Dr. Kessler is a leader in research on integrated behavioral health care and this new position reflects the DBH commitment to applied clinical effectiveness research that will benefit our students and graduates.

Rodger Kessler Ph.D. ABPP is a board certified clinical health psychologist practicing in integrated primary care for over 20 years. He has developed integrated care in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gastroenterology. He has edited two books and has over 50 referred publication

Dr. Kessler is Co-Principal Investigator of the 5-year Integrated Behavioral Health in Primary Care (IBH-PC) comparative effectiveness trial funded by PCORI. His research focuses on the effectiveness of evidence supported behavioral interventions to treat medical problems, and the applications of behavioral bioinformatics.
