Roby Zomer

Roby Zomer has focused his career on the idea of building efficient systems and implementing them to advance a specific final goal. Following his release from the Israeli Army, Mr. Zomer began a sequence of positions in the Biotech, Renewable Energy and Agtech industries which demonstrated a unique ability to run large scale projects with a detail-oriented eye, leading to projects in Europe, Africa, and Israel which revolved around clean and renewable energy sources. In these roles, Mr. Zomer was an active member of the Israeli Manufacturers Association, and presented on cleantech globally, implementing projects in a myriad of locations, including Brazil, Europe, Montenegro, Jordan, and Japan.

Seeking a new challenge and identifying the Cannabis industry as an emerging one, Mr. Zomer was handpicked to join Mr. Segev as co-founder of MGC Pharma. Applying the skills acquired in running large scale projects to rapidly advance MGC’s agenda, Mr. Zomer was then quickly promoted to Executive Director, a position which naturally encompassed the position of CTO, bringing his technical skills and experience to bear on MGC's cutting edge research agenda.

Using his extensive business history, coupled with scientific and engineering expertise, Mr. Zomer is guiding MGC to be positioned as a leader in research and development, while also guaranteeing high levels of performance from global operations. Mr. Zomer’s appointment to Managing Director & CEO follows a successful implementation of MGC’s pipelines to fully integrate MGC as a biopharma company in Europe and Australia and indicates exemplary scientific standards and leadership.
