Robin Vos obtained his MD degree in Medicine at KU Leuven, Belgium in 2004, after which he completed his specialist training in Internal and Pulmonary Medicine at University Hospitals Leuven, Belgium in 2012. He obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at KU Leuven in 2010, based on his work ‘Bronchiolitis Obliterans Syndrome: new risk factors and role of azithromycin in treatment and prevention.

He is currently Associate Head of Clinic of the Dept. of Respiratory Medicine, Lung Transplant and Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit, at University Hospitals Leuven, Belgium since 2012 and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Dept. of Chronic Diseases, Metabolism & Ageing (CHROMETA), Lab of Respiratory Diseases and Thoracic Surgery (BREATHE), KU Leuven, Belgium since 2014.

He is a Senior Clinical Research Fellow of the Research Foundation-Flanders (FWO) in Belgium, (co-)investigator of several clinical trials; and Editorial Board Consultant of various journals in the field of Pulmonary Medicine, Respiratory Research, and Transplantation. He is a member of the Belgian Transplant Society, Belgian Respiratory Society, board member of Eurotransplant for the Council of Medicine and Science; Past Chair of Group - 08.02 -Transplantation for the European Respiratory Society (ERS), Current Chair of the European Cardio Thoracic Transplant Association (ECTTA); and Scientific Program Committee Member of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT), European Respiratory Society (ERS) and European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT).

His clinical expertise includes lung transplantation, OB/GvHD after bone marrow transplantation, and respiratory intermediate care; and his scientific research interests include the pathophysiology and treatment of acute and chronic lung allograft rejection and chronic pulmonary GvHD.
