Robin Cooper qualified from St Georges Hospital Medical School, London in 1990 before completing his anaesthetic training on the Bristol Rotation and in Tasmania, Australia.
He has been a consultant anaesthetist at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital since 2000. He is a designated paediatric anaesthetist and has special interests in orthopaedic, urological and gynaecological surgery and regional anaesthesia.
He was lead paediatric anaesthetist and College Tutor before being appointed to his current role as Training Programme Director to the Region's novice anaesthetists. He is a keen Mountain Biker.
