Roberto Rossi DDS, MScD

Professor Roberto Rossi leads the area of periodontology and implantology in the Stedley Clinic. Dr. Roberto Rossi graduated in dentistry (magna cum laude) in Genova (Italy). Started his career as a periodontist at Boston University Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry in 1989. In 1991 became a specialist and after one year of research and teaching in 1992 received the Master of Science in Dentistry in Periodontology. He returned to Italy in 1993 where he established his practice in Genova.

Has since cooperated with different research groups on projects related to guided tissue regeneration, guided bone regeneration, and implant dentistry. He is the author of more than 30 papers published in peer-reviewed magazines and a co-author of the book Bone Biomaterials and Beyond where he wrote the chapter on periodontal regeneration. Active member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry, Certified member of the Italian Society of Periodontology, and International member of the American Academy of Periodontology. Founding member and vice president of the Bone Biomaterials and Beyond Academy. Has been a professor at the Master of Second Degree in Periodontology at Sapienza University of Rome since 2000, and at the Master in Implantology and Prosthetics of the University of Pisa since 2010. Recognized as one of the world’s leaders in the field of bone regeneration, run courses and lectures on the topic all over the world.
