Roberto Civitelli MD

Dr. Civitelli completed his medical studies and residency in internal medicine at Siena University School of Medicine, Italy, before moving to Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he completed a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism and was appointed faculty in 1990.

He has risen through the ranks and was appointed full Professor of Medicine in 2000, with joint appointments in Cell Biology and Physiology and Orthopaedic Surgery. In 2003, he was named the Schoenberg Chair in Medicine, and in 2010 he was appointed Chief of the Division of Bone and Mineral Diseases at Washington University School of Medicine.
