Roberto Abundo MD, DDS

Roberto Abundo, MD, DDS served as an Adjunct Professor in Periodontology at the University of Turin from 1994 to 2005 (Italy) and as an Adjunct Professor in Periodontology at the University of Pennsylvania, from 2006 to 2016. He currently is the Scientific Director of the Continuing Education Course in Periodontal Plastic Surgery at Humanitas University in Milan (Italy). Furthermore, he is an active Member of S.I.d.P. (Italian Society of Periodontology) and I.A.O. (Italian Academy of Osseointegration).

Dr. Abundo received the H. M. Goldman prize for clinical research in Periodontology from S.I.d.P. in 2000 and the E.A.O. (European Academy for Osseointegration) prize for Clinical Research in Implantology in 2010. He is the author of several publications in international peer-reviewed journals and two textbooks on periodontal and implant topics. He is also co-author of four chapters in a textbook on the same topics. Dr. Abundo serves as Scientific Director of Dentalmedtv, a web tv on the world of dentistry, and holds a private practice at Sicor in Torino, with practice limited to periodontal and implant surgery.
