Roberta Galli holds a degree in Physics from the University of Milan - Italy, as well as a Ph.D. in Medical Technology and the Habilitation in Experimental Physics from the TU Dresden - Germany. After her degree, she spent many years in the R&D department of a private Italian company, working on laser processes. Since 2011, she is a researcher in the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering - Clinical Sensoring and Monitoring at the Faculty of Medicine at the TU Dresden - Germany, where she works on the development of optical techniques for label-free tissue characterization. Her main research areas are optical spectroscopy and multiphoton microscopy.
