Rob Weker is currently the Principal at Weker Advisors LLC, providing consulting services across the healthcare industry. Prior to that, Rob served as Vice President of Business Strategy and Operations for the Platform, Technology, and Science Group in R&D at GlaxoSmithKline. He is a proven, results-oriented leader in strategy development and operations, applying continuous improvement/lean sigma methodology in developing performance metrics discipline that generates and embeds impactful business value. Rob is a trusted partner and mentor across the value chain – patients, caregivers, physicians, payers, suppliers, and staff.
Rob is also a three-time cancer survivor, including pancreatic cancer. Rob has focused on providing patient insight and input in enhancing the patient experience and delivering step-change performance. Rob serves on the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Patient and Family Advisory Council and on GlaxoSmithKline’s Oncology Patient Council. In addition, Rob publishes a blog on the patient journey – Through the Patient Lens and frequently speaks at healthcare conferences. Rob is involved with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (Pancan). Rob holds a BS in Chemistry from Cornell University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
