Professor Crawford currently investigates host/microbe interactions, primarily focused on skin microbiota. Including dysbiosis of the chronic wound asscoiated microbiota. Previous reseach includes pathogenesis of Salmonella Typhimurium and gastroenteric disease specifically focused on molecular and cellular mechanisms of microbial pathogenesis and immune responses during inflammatory infections.
