Robert J. Tomanek, Ph.D. is a Professor Emeritus, Anatomy and Cell Biology, at the University of Iowa. His research contributions have focused on coronary vessels and circulation: vasculogenesis, angiogenesis and arteriogenesis, growth factors and signaling, development and aging, and myocardial infarction. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association, American Physiological Society, and American Association of Anatomy. In addition to his 147 publications, Tomanek is the author of the comprehensive book: Coronary Vasculature - Development Structure-Function and Adaptations, Springer, 2013.
