Robert Ryan, M.D. is a fellowship trained minimally invasive endovascular neurosurgeon. He completed his fellowship training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Ryan was the recipient of the Stryker Interventional Neurosurgery Fellowship and the Codman Endovascular Neurosurgery Fellowship. Dr. Ryan completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Alberta and earned his medical degree at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Ryan has a strong interest in research. He completed a Master’s degree in Neuroscience from Queen’s University, in Kingston, Ontario, and a Neurosurgery Research Fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. He has been published in many medical journals, written a book chapter entitled, “Endovascular therapies for aneurysms of the basilar artery” and has participated in several speaking engagements throughout the US and Canada. His research interests include endovascular treatments of acute strokes, management of cerebral aneurysms and the role of endovascular techniques and devices in the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases.
Dr. Ryan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, a member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
