Dr. Robert (Bob) Rhoton Psy. D. has a diverse array of professional experiences. A psychologist with twenty years of successful work in mental health. Dr. Rhoton is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Experts on Traumatic Stress. Additionally, Dr. Rhoton has worked as both an adjunct professor for multiple universities and colleges, and as a full time professor for Ottawa University, where he retired in 2014 after working with Ottawa/Phoenix for twenty years. From 2010 through 2012 Bob was the president of the Arizona Trauma Network. Dr. Rhoton has been and is active in working with Arizona Department of Health Services Trauma Informed Task-force, serves on the Aversive Childhood Experiences Consortium executive committee for Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Currently, Dr. Rhoton is the President of the Arizona Trauma Institute which provides organization consultation and therapy training programs to increase clinical excellence in the delivery of trauma related services. Along with Dr. Eric Gentry, Dr. Rhoton has worked to develop an active ingredients approach to trauma treatment which allows for the greatest flexibility for providers of treatment, which is not treatment model dependent. Additionally, Bob travels extensively training and speaking at conferences on a breadth of trauma related issues. Dr. Bob has a personal mission to improve the lives of children and families by increasing clinical excellence in the treatment of trauma.
