Dr. Robert Flint is a native of Salt Lake City, graduating from the University of Utah in 1985 with a B.S.degree in Medical Biology. He attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry from 1985-1989, in Louisville, Kentucky, earning his DMD degree. He completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, from 1989-1990. In 1990, he began a six-year, dual-degree residency program at the University of Louisville, earning his MD degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completing the residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He was in private practice for 20 years as a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon in Utah, owning his own practice, Flint Oral and Facial Surgery with two offices located in Murray and Draper.
In January 2016, he began his career in academia at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in the Department of Surgical and Hospital Dentistry as Associate Professor, attending to the oral surgery residents and surgeon in faculty practice.
He has served for many years in leadership positions, including Delegate for OMS for the State of Utah, President of the Utah State OMS Society, committee and Chairman of the CPPC Committee for AAOMS, and currently as alternate delegate for OMS of Kentucky.
